5 Tips to Staying Healthy During The Coronavirus Pandemic

by Aidan Moran |

The spread of the covid-19 virus has disrupted many of our lives and has threatened the health and wellbeing of us all.  There are several steps that each and every one of us should be taking in order to reduce the risk of spreading the disease.  This will not only help to prevent others from getting sick, but also allow us to better respond to the virus and bring about a quicker return to normalcy.

1. Wash Your Hands

One of the most important things you can do to help slow the spread of the virus is to make sure that you thoroughly wash your hands frequently.  Wash your hands with soap and hot water for at least twenty seconds, making sure to dry thoroughly once you are done. Our Wild Superfood Mutli-Tasking Cleanser is great for helping to keep your hands clean while restoring necessary moisture to help fight the disease.

2. Exercise Social Distancing

If possible, stay home from work or school and make sure to avoid going out of the house, especially to larger gatherings of people.  Do whatever shopping you can at home, and avoid close, physical contact with other people if you do happen to go out. Staying at least 5-6 feet away from other people will limit the chance of catching the virus from someone else.

3. Avoid Overuse of Hand Sanitizer

Frequent hand washing and especially heavy use of hand sanitizer can quickly dry out your hands, leaving cracks in the skin through which the virus is able to pass more easily.  Using something like our Wild Superfood Beauty Butter will make sure that your hands stay nice and moist and that you stay healthy.

4. Avoid Touching Your Face

Not only will touching your face spread germs that may have gotten on your hands, if you are infected, you may inadvertently spread the virus to surfaces you touch such as door knobs, handles, or other frequently touched surfaces.  If you do need to satisfy an itch, try using a tissue instead.

5. Cover Your Coughs and Sneezes

If possible, make sure to cough and sneeze into a tissue or your arm rather than your hand or the open air.  Make sure to throw away the tissue and wash your hands if you do end up coughing or sneezing into them.

Following these steps and any other recommendations put out by the CDC will help everyone to stay healthy and make sure that the spread of the virus stays contained.  Remember to wash your hands frequently, moisturize your skin to prevent transmission and to do your best to limit your contact with others. We at Teadora wish you good health and safety in these unprecedented times.
