Anti-cellulite Smoothie Recipe by Teadora

After months of hiding from the winter's cold under bulky clothes, it's time to start eating healthy with the goal of getting that great Brazilian bikini summer body! Diet isn't everything though. Exercising is also an important component as you try to get in shape, but what you consume will ultimately have more impact over your skin and figure.

We selected this recipe not only for its amazing health benefits but also because it is refreshing, delicious and will make you feel like ‘A New You’!

When consumed regularly, this detoxifying smoothie recipe will wipe away toxins and help promote healthy digestion which have an immediate effect on the look of your skin.

In a juicer or blender, mix:

 ½  mid-sized cucumber

1 mid-sized beet

½ apple

4 carrots

Cubed or crushed ice

Suggested: Drink 1 cup every day or every other day if you are juicing on a regular basis.

Cucumbers have the highest water content of any solid food. They also promote detoxification and when paired with beets, which boost blood circulation, they help cleanse our body by eliminating toxins from its cells which contribute to a more uniform skin. Apples contain insoluble fiber cellulose, which promotes healthy digestion and relieves constipation by helping things move quickly through your digestive system. Carrots are rich in a number of vitamins and minerals B, C, D, E, K, carotene, sodium, and potassium. These nutrients help to clean out your colon, stirring up the toxic layers.

No wonder we are crazy about this smoothie and its overall benefits!

Smart tip: Adding ginger will give your smoothie a delicious spicy hint and great anti-inflammatory power. Ginger can play a very important role in reducing cellulite because it is packed with antioxidant and toning properties. It will also help improve the circulation of oxygen in your body, which will help burn fat and get rid of toxins producing the appearance of cellulite. You might also want to try adding tablespoon of honey for delicious sweetness. Honey is an excellent source of all-natural energy that is superior to other conventional sources since it comes with added nutrients, making it a great workout fuel to ready your body for summer. But if you are vegan, use Agave instead! I call it delicous Mexican nectar of the gods. Yum!

We hope you love these recipes as much as we do.  Love yourself, find your joy, share your passion.

JuiceUp, Cheers, Val
