Single's Day Tips to Adore Yourself

November 11th is “Single’s Day,” a holiday to celebrate the solo lifestyle. Here at Teadora we love any excuse to help you adore yourself and this holiday is worth celebrating with gusto! However you prepare to spend your Single’s Day, check out this tip list from one of our own to see how she keeps her glow on the go.

Whether you’re just feeling yourself or looking to date, there are plenty of ways to feel fresh with a busy life. Here are my top five beauty tips to catch the eye, even from 6 feet away!

1) Look for Natural products that will support your skin all week long, not just the night of.

You may be able to get away with unnoticed blemishes on a zoom call, but what about when you decide to take it from online to social-distance? Be sure that the products you’re using support your skin all the time, not just around the days you’re hoping to have that extra sparkle! Besides, who knows when you might meet someone interesting out and about? Having the confidence boost of reliably clear and healthy skin is a real plus.

2) Consider a travel size!

These days, there may be some more demands on your time with limited privacy or space to get ready. Having travel sizes of your favorite products makes it easier to stay prepared in case you’ve got to go somewhere in a flash.

3) Drink. Water.

It is so easy to forget to hydrate! You may know that the human body is about 60% water. This means that when you pass on H20, 60% of you is taking the hit! Skin is the largest organ in our bodies and it relies on water for elasticity, to produce sweat, and excrete pollutants. If it does not have enough water, the toxins from body products or the environment may find it more difficult to leave your system. This can leave you feeling and looking dry instead of radiant, ultimately contributing to the formation of wrinkles. Don’t get stuck using products with toxic ingredients or flitting about powered only by caffeine!

4) Exfoliate!

People have been exfoliating for generations and its no wonder –scrubbing away the top layer of dull dead skin can leave you smooth and kissably soft! Be sure to choose the right exfoliant for your body. Smaller granules are great for sensitive areas like the face, yet larger granules work best for less delicate areas like your legs or arms. Keep an eye out for products that add important vitamins and minerals to your skin for that extra boost!

5) Look after your scalp.

Let’s be real, hair can be a challenge! With so many textures, tones, styles, and patterns it can be hard to find a one-size-fits-all solution. Be sure to keep an eye on your locks for dryness, a common culprit in the war on frizz. An effective haircare routine takes scalp health into account too, so be on the lookout for signs of flaking or dryness. Choosing a shampoo and conditioner combination can be key, as the products work to balance each other without compromising your hair and scalp.
